Spring Break Lacrosse By: Sara

During a week of spring break, our lacrosse, baseball, softball, and sailing teams traveled to Florida for a week of sports and fun in the sun. The girls’ lacrosse team spent the week practicing together and playing in games, as well as experiencing all of what Florida has to offer. Besides lacrosse, we went to the beach, hung out at the pool, supported the boys at their lacrosse game, jumped at a trampoline park, played Minute to Win it, and we even went to the aquarium! Although the goal of the trip was to get ready for lacrosse season, the trip felt like a fun vacation! Our girls’ lacrosse team went undefeated in Florida, playing teams from New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. The team brought down a variety of players, including players from all grades and all three girls lacrosse teams–freshman, JV, and varsity. My favorite part of the trip was the van rides with the players and coaches to and from games and activities. We all picked our favorite songs, including the coaches, and we all sang and danced to them until we lost our voices. After a win, our coach requested that we play “All We Do Is Win,” and it was so fun to see how excited our coaches were! Our last game of the trip was cancelled due to rain, so we decided to go to the aquarium as a team! There, we bought a stuffed animal penguin, which we named Pepe. Pepe is now our official team pet that you can follow on Instagram- @pepe_penguin ! Our trip was fun, exciting and productive on and off the field. It was the highlight of my spring break, and I cannot wait to go back next year!
