Milton Academy Weekend Events: By Charlie

When I came to Milton, the first thing I noticed is there is so much to do. Whether sports, clubs, assemblies, or even just hanging out with friends in the Student Center, there is always something going on. When the school week comes to an end, Milton becomes a place where I spend practically my entire weekend. Milton’s athletic events are always fun, whether you’re playing in them or just going to a game to cheer on your classmates. Plays and performances are great as well–the student-led Dance Concert is one of the biggest events of the year. There is also the Student Activity Association (SAA), which is a group of students who help plan Milton weekend events. These vary from hosting a hypnotist to a dance to a magician. Whatever the SAA chooses, it’s always fun to go to dinner on Friday night after classes and sports and then go to the weekend activities. Because Milton is half boarders and half day students, there is a constant buzzing atmosphere on campus that truly makes Milton what it is, and weekend events on campus are some of my favorite times of the year. I feel lucky knowing I can come to campus anytime and there will always be something going on. This is something I feel is truly unique to Milton and what makes it so special.
