Orange and Blue Spirit By Elise

Milton Academy is full of spirit and pride. Students here are excited and energized about the multitude of offerings on campus. Over the course of the year, you are bound to see groups of students decked out in crazy costumes getting ready for their game, meet, or performance later that day. On rivalry weekends, the entire school comes together, filling in the bleachers in the gymnasium and spilling onto the court and on the sidelines. We cheer on the dance, step, and orchestra performances and fill with excitement as the energy explodes into the room. Whether we are participating ourselves or supporting a friend, I’m always impressed by how Milton classmates come together to show their support.

Spirit days are held by sports teams, dance teams, dorm residents, and just about any other group that one could be a part of on the Milton campus. This sense of community and teamwork does not end on the field or stage. It is common to find groups studying and collaborating on problem sets in the Student Center, on the Quad, or even on the afternoon bus, oh… and the library, too! Our individual passion and supportive group nature extends to all aspects of our academic lives at Milton, resulting in a very collaborative community in an environment filled with spirit.
