The holiday spirit has finally hit campus in the final days leading up to winter break. The Student Center is filled with lights and fake snow shines on every windowsill. This weekend, a gingerbread house making contest created a delicious display in the dining hall. Each dorm has also used the holiday season as an opportunity to advertise house pride by hanging massive letters above the entrances, marking each house from across the Quad. ISL Champions!

Monday morning (with the help of Day Light Savings), I cheerfully got to school early and spent 15 minutes in the bathroom painting the letters “XC” on all of my teammates left cheeks, because our left cheeks are close to our hearts.   Not only is this week Spirit Week, my favorite five academic days of the school year, but also the Girls Cross Country team has just won the ISL Championship.
