The Library By Rush

One aspect of Milton that I find particularly interesting is the use of the library by all of the students. On your tour you may have walked through the library but were certainly unable to get the full breadth of the library’s use. During scheduled free periods during the class week, students will often be found studying in the library. The library is also a social area where collective work is promoted. Having transferred my sophomore year to Milton, I am aware of how remarkable it is for all different types of students to continuously devout their time to studies in the library. Students from all social groups can be found working together in the library. I find the set use of the library indicative to the culture of Milton: people give up their free time to study and pursue their academic interests. The library is one part of Milton that sticks out to me as very unique and symbolic of Milton as a community.
