One Acts By: Henry

One of the most interesting dramatic performances of the year is the Student Directed One Acts.  Unlike other productions at Milton where the major directorial and production decisions are made by faculty, student directors are in charge of One Acts.  The student directors cast the shows, design the sets, and direct the actors to create a show in their own vision.  These shows range from lighthearted comedies to serious dramas.  This whole process not only lets the directors shine, but as these productions are on a smaller scale, many students without acting experience can try their hand in acting.  The minimalistic sets and intimate location allow the focus of these shows to rest on the actors and their direction, creating a very unique atmosphere.  This showcase takes place at the end of every winter season, and always draws a crowd year after year.
