Gopie: Tinos is a pizzeria unheard of by most of the Milton Academy community because they do not deliver. The shop is small and dark similar to Spukies but the servers were inviting and hilarious. The cheeseburger and fries for $8 took about eight minutes to prepare. The atmosphere in the shop was calm but the food was terrible. The burger looked like a flik burger topped with chopped lettuce. The patty was cold and poorly cooked. I had to put a lot of ketchup on the burger to get through a bite of this poorly made cheeseburger. The French fries were below average because of their bland taste. Both the cheeseburger and fries were dry so make sure to buy a drink. The meal was served on a small plate so the proportions were not filling. I have heard that tinos' has garnered a great reputation for its pizza but I can say their cheeseburgers are not worth buying.
Chun: Like Spukies N Pizza, our group didn't have high expectations for this pizzeria. We had only decided to review this restaurant because of its proximity to Milton's campus and the low price of the burgers. The restaurant looks like a pizzeria: wooden tables with booths and posters advertising their foods.
I ordered the regular hamburger with a side of fries. The burger came out fairly quickly and looked like a regular hamburger—nothing special. When I took a bite, the patty tasted a bit weird, almost like it wasn't ground beef. The closest resemblance of the taste is the meat loaf that goes into gyros. The burger wasn't too bad but the gyro-like taste made the burger taste pretty similar to a gyro. The fries were pretty good but a bit too potato-ey for my taste. My recommendation: come here for the pizza not for the gyro burgers and fries.
Austin: Previous to the project, I had been to Tinos many times for their pizza, which is delicious; however, during the project period, I was told by a classmate that their burgers were tasty as well. To say the least, I was disappointed with the taste of the burger and the fries as well. The sesame seed bun was lightly toasted and was a nice size, but I found that I had to tear at it a little more than I'd like. The toppings were simple and fresh, but the patty did not taste like beef, and the fries lacked any significant seasoning. The restaurant is very small with only about 6 tables, and the two folks working there are quite friendly. Overall, the burger was a little less than average, and I would not recommend going there for the burger. I would, however, recommend going there for the pizza and chocolate milk.
