Rating System:
Our rating system ranged from 0 to 6, with 6 being the best. We had only one rating for a 6 (Newcombs Fries), and we considered a rating of 3 to be average. (0-2 Poor to Manageable, 3-4 Good to Very Good, 5-6 Great to Perfect)Taste of Burger: How well the meat, toppings, and bun come together.
Taste of Fries: Whether or not the french fries taste soggy or cooked well, and how the seasoning (if any) tasted with the fries.
Presentation: How the burger is presented on the plate or wrapping and whether it looks neat and appetizing.
Meat to Bun Ratio: If the size of the bun complimented the size of the patty. For example, with a thin patty, a bun that is very thick and fluffy would recieve a poor meat to bun ratio.
Texture: Based on how greasy, juicy, or dry the burger as a whole is.
Creativity: Based on the variety of burger combinations and the options given on the menu.
Audience
The goal of this project as a whole is to learn how to create an effective website by using different website-creating programs such as Dreamweaver, CSS, HTML and Photoshop. We also hope to give the Milton Academy community an easy and trustworthy way to find good burgers. We will attach our Burger website to the Milton Academy website (with the help of Greg White); therefore, we are designing the site for the entire Milton Academy community to view and use. The community consists of, but is not limited to: visiting families who want burgers near Milton Academy, students who have access to transportation to the restaurants (i.e. day students driving boarders or advisory groups), boarders (*the website will indicate which restaurants are available to deliver), and faculty. The website will take into account many different factors of each restaurant including decor, pricing, taste, presentation, service time, hospitality, popularity, the general vibe, cleanliness, transport time, and amount of space. All of these factors will affect a person's decision on which restaurant to go to and will be taken into account on the website. While we are looking at many factors, our main goal in visiting the restaurants is to suggest which ones have the best quality burgers.
Purpose
This website will exhibit our learning of HTML, CSS, dreamweaver, and photoshop. The content of the website will show our detailed reviews and blogs of the various restaurants that we went to over the course of the project. We have visited 12 restaurants; therefore, we have reviews and info of each one of those restaurants on the webpage. We will describe the many aspects of each restaurant that Milton students may take into account in their decision to eat at a given restaurant. These aspects include: restaurant decor, service time and hospitality, popularity, the general vibe, cleanliness, cost, transport time, amount of space, presentation of the food and of course the taste of the burger.
