Gopie: Super Chef is a common restaurant that students order delivery from so I got the $10 Cowboy Burger, a popular meal ordered. The Cowboy Burger is topped with barbecue sauce, grilled onions, and cheddar cheese. This was my first time in Super Chef and the Italian heritage of business immediately stands out. The restaurant was decorated with plants and countless pictures of Italian men making pizzas. For the food, the burger and fries were served in a styrofoam box that was filled to the brim. I was disappointed in the Cowboy Burger because the meat was juicy and cooked well but masked by the immense amount of barbecue sauce. The sesame bun was also a major disappointment because it was hard and crumbly. As you bite into the burger the bun breaks and the condiments fall out making this meal very messy. After finishing the burger, I moved onto the fries which were too hard and crunchy. Some of the fries under the burger tasted well but most of the fries were cooked for too long. Super Chef is generous with its portions, I could not finish all of the fries after struggling with the Cowboy Burger.
Chun: If you don't have a lot of time to eat and are willing to settle on a mediocre burger, which is probably frozen, with some above-average tasting fries, make your way to Superchef Pizza in Quincy. I have ordered from Superchef Pizza before, always ordering the same Cowboy burger (BBQ sauce, bacon, grilled onions and cheddar cheese), which Superchef deems to be its most ordered menu item, with a side of fries for about 8 bucks. I have never considered Superchef's Cowboy burger to be of substantial quality but it does get the job done. The presentation isn't all that great—the burger I ordered came in a Styrofoam container. But the portion is pretty filling. The burger weighs ½ pound and the side of fries is pretty decently sized. The burger itself has a bit of a rubbery texture and the bacon isn't even real bacon, it's turkey. Overall, I was rather disappointed in this burger. When our group went to sit down at the restaurant, the Italian décor or rather the million Italian pizza chefs with moustaches immediately caught our eye. We sat at the metal tables and chairs but one can choose to take a seat on wooden stools to eat on the wooden counters. The size of the restaurant is small, but Superchef rarely has a packed house, so this is fine. Simply put, the décor suits what the restaurant was built for: fast and mediocre food. The only pros I see in this restaurant are its proximity to Milton campus and the fact that it delivers.
Austin: Located in a small strip mall, Super Chef made a very average burger and brought nothing special to the table. The 8 oz Cowboy burger was served with a good amount of bacon on top and hot fries on the side. While the burger was not too greasy, it did taste and feel as if it had been frozen and thawed. The fries were crispy and hot, yet they were nothing special and there was no noticeable seasoning. The restaurant was relatively small with no sounds other than those coming from the kitchen. Overall, the meal made for a solid lunch, yet I would not recommend it if you're looking for a nice atmosphere and meal.
