Gopie: I have eaten many Five Guys burgers and I'm pleased that I have had an unique and fun experience every time. As you walk into the restaurant the cooks announce your entrance and their loud energy makes it fun to order. The restaurant has a retro feel with a vibrant red and white color scheme. Another plus are the free bags of peanuts laying around the restaurant. The menu is very simple with a copious amount of free toppings. The cheeseburger and fries come in a greasy brown bag which I enjoy. The burger is a mess, the cheese oozes into the wrapping and the bun is very greasy. Besides the grease the burger was delicious having a sweet taste. The fries are good too they are freshly cooked and fill the brown bag. My favorite aspect of Five Guys is the futuristic soda machine that serves every Coca-Cola product.
Chun: Everyone knows about this delicious burger joint. I've had Five Guys before but I made sure that our group had to review the Five Guys because I really wanted to taste those yummy burgers again. The Five Guys right across the South Shore Plaza mall had the decor of about every other Five Guys: huge red checkered menu, with praise-banners across the walls, hanging lamps, wooden chairs and tables and bags upon bags of peanuts near the grill.
In case it wasn't evident by the twenty-five pound bags of peanuts, Five Guys cooks everything in peanut oil so people with peanut allergy should stay away. Every burger includes two patties unless you specifically ask for the "little" burger which includes one patty. I ordered the bacon burger with BBQ sauce and grilled onions. When I unwrapped the tin foil, I was left with a pretty greasy but tasty looking burger. I bit in and immediately my taste buds went wild. The burger was delicious; the burger was different from normal ones due to cooking in peanut oil. The patties were juicy; the bacon was thick and the grilled onions strong tasting. The fries were crispy, salted and delectable. Overall, I was very satisfied with this burger experience. I recommend Five Guys to all without peanut allergy.
Austin:Although Five Guys is supposedly healthier than your average restaurant because they cook their food in peanut oil, I always feel awful after finishing a Five Guys meal. Upon unwrapping the paper around the burger, I found my bun to be covered in oil and the patty was glistening as well. The taste of the burger was enjoyable, yet I did not give it a great rating because of the way I felt afterwards. The same thing goes for the fries as well. The fries are tasty, but the soggy bag that they are served in made me feel greasy and fat. As for the restaurant, the seats were spread apart and it was a calm environment. Five Guys is a decent place for a quick lunch, but be prepared for all that peanut oil.
