Gopie: Spukies in Lower mills had one of the worst burger and fries combinations during our search. The hamburger and fries cost $7, a rip-off. Spukies works quickly and our order was done in less than 10 minutes. The burger was dressed with chopped lettuce and ketchup. The meat was dry, burnt, and thin which did not work well with the bulkie rolls used. The bulkie roll gave the hamburger a 1.5 rating. I did not like how you could not add toppings to the burger without being charged. The french fries were average and received a score of 3. Overall I'd say the meal seemed like a Flik hamburger and French fries. The store was also dim and not inviting which is a big problem for me when looking for a restaurant. I would advise Milton students to not take the walk to lower mills for a hamburger at Spukies.
Chun: Spukies N Pizza, first and foremost, is a pizza joint, if not evident by the name, which happens to serve burgers. Our group knew this fact coming into the restaurant but we decided that we should go to Spukies due to its proximity to Milton's campus as well as the low prices. We entered Spukies without high hopes. The restaurant looks like an ordinary pizzeria: wooden tables with booths and a couple chairs and tables. We ordered the burger at the cashier counter and then took our burger and fries (served on a paper plate) back to a wooden table and booth.
The burger looked pretty ordinary, except the lettuce that was shredded. I bit into the burger and it tasted pretty ordinary, nothing amazing but not too bad. The closest resemblance to this burger is probably Flik's burgers. The fries, too, were not great but not bad either. They were lightly salted and needed some ketchup to go along with it. I would only recommend Spukies solely on its low prices; otherwise, go somewhere else for a good burger.
Austin: Spukies N Pizza made a very average burger. There was absolutely nothing special about the burger or the fries. The burger was made with a thin patty, thick bulkie roll, and two slices of cheese. The size of the burger was nice for lunch and was very easy/clean to eat. After a wait time of only 8 minutes, we received both the burger and fries when they were still quite hot. The fries were hot and crispy, yet they lacked seasoning. Once again, this meal was just average. The restaurant was quiet, as there were only two other people there when we went, and the tv was really the only thing making noise. I left the restaurant satisfied with my lunch, but I would only recommend Spukies if you are looking for a quick, low-priced burger.
